Looking Ahead
| What a year it has been. Americans had their hands full with both memorable and tragic experiences in 2009. History was made when Barack Obama was inaugurated as the first African-American President of the United States of America. Social media networks exploded among many different markets from teenagers posting details about their weekend on Facebook to Microsoft tweeting about their search engine Bing.com. Nothing has probably impacted Americans more than the economic downturn. We saw the collapse of major organizations. The only way to recover was to use government bail out funds. From Wall Street seeing some of its lowest numbers since the Great Depression to unemployment soaring above 10%, there are many experiences we would like to put behind us. Although 2009 was not the best year for the United States there is so much to look forward to in 2010. We are starting to see some positives in the U.S. economy. Organizations are starting to add more jobs and replace inventory they burned through. Businesses are reporting strong productivity; doing more with fewer workers; thus, being more profitable. The economy will get a boost with the start and continuation of government stimulus money flowing through the market place.
